Liver Spring Cleansing
Rudy Silva
The liver is the second largest organ in the body and the skin is the first. Every year, you can make sure your liver is healthy by doing a liver cleanse during spring.
The liver is responsible for filtering and detoxifying your blood, so you want to make sure that it is in top condition. Many times our liver and body gets overloaded with toxins from the poor food we eat and the unhealthy lifestyles we lead. This can make us feel tired, sluggish and just out of sorts. And, if you want to lose weight, without good liver function, you will find that difficult to do. So, it is a good idea to cleanse the liver at least once a year.
Milk Thistle is an excellent herb that can be used to cleanse and promote health in the liver. Its active ingredient is Silymarin, which helps protect and detoxify the liver. There are many supplements that contain just Milk Thistle or you can find it in combination with other helpful herbs. You can find it in capsule or liquid. I like using the liquid, since its easier to carry around and use. After I take my Milk Thistle, I drink 8-10 glasses of distilled water a day. This helps to run more blood through the kidney to clean out the toxins and debris from the blood.
For my liver cleanse I used a liquid herb combination from the American Botanical Pharmacy called "Liver/Gall Bladder Anti-Parasite Formula" (L/GB-AP) by Dr. Richard Schulze. It comes in a 2 oz. bottle with a dropper.
Use 2 droppers full, 3-4 times per day for one week.
This formula has a combination of herbs. The first five herbs listed below are great liver herbs. The other herbs are for cleansing the body of parasites. Parasites can live in the liver and other organs including the brain and colon.
* Milk Thistle Seed
* Dandelion Root
* Oregon Grape Root
* Gentian Root
* Wormwood leaf and flower
* Mojave Chaparral, Black
* Walnut hulls
* Ginger Rhizome
* Garlic Bulb
* Fennel Seed.
Every morning when I get up, during this liver cleanse, I drink the juice of one lemon in warm water. This was hard to get used at first because this is really bitter for me. If this is the case for you, just add a little honey. If you like lemons, then you will like doing this liver cleanse.
I hope you can take the time to cleanse your liver, since springtime only comes around once a year and your liver is central to a healthy body.

With the advances in science and technology, we have seen a lot of progress in the field of medicine as well. Researchers and scientists have now come up with drugs and medications far superior than earlier available. Here is an account of the new-age drugs which have come to help many suffering from arthritis.
Newer “second-line” drugs to control rheumatoid arthritis include leflunomide, and the “biologic” medications etanercept, infliximab, anakinra, and adalimumab. Compared to traditional DMARDs, biologic medication acts faster and effectively stops progressive joint damage. Other medication that can take care of rheumatoid arthritis and is the product of modern biotechnology is referred to as biologic medication or biological response modifier.
In general, its system of action is more direct and focused. Leflunomide gives respite from symptoms and stops the disease from spreading in the system. It de-activates an important enzyme that functions to activate immunity.
On the other hand, arava can cause liver disease, diarrhea, hair loss, and/or rash in some patients. Taking it during pregnancy may cause birth defects. Etanercept, infliximab, and adalimumab are all biologic medications. These medicines intercept the tumor necrosis factor, or TNF in the joints, that causes inflammation before it can act on its natural receptor, to “switch on" inflammation. This effectively blocks it from calling out to the cells that cause inflammation. Symptoms can be significantly and often rapidly improved in patients. Etanercept is injected subcutaneously once or twice a week. Infliximab is given intravenously. Adalimumab is injected subcutaneously either every, or alternate week.

Liver Cleanse For Eczema Relief
Sandra Kim Leong
If you have eczema, your skin is inflamed, irritable and is red and blotchy through itching and scratching. For most people, the main method of eczema treatment is conventionally via topical applications or medication to provide relief. Preventative measures such as avoiding triggers. Allergens can be anything from pollens, dust, and drugs to food items or climate. Not everyone responds equally to the same triggers. So, it can be pretty difficult to identify what exactly sets your eczema off.
More recently, some natural health practitioners are proposing that eczema can be treated with liver cleanse. It recommends that liver cleanse can aid prevent eczema and remove the symptoms at the root cause.
The liver is an organ that is located on the right side of your abdomen. It produces bile and blood proteins. It also stores vitamins for subsequent release into the blood stream and removes all kinds of toxins from the blood. If your liver does not filter harmful substances from the blood effectively, toxins can accumulate nor just in the liver, but also in the hepatic ducts, cystic ducts or the main bile duct; resulting in the formation of intrahepatic stones or gall stones.
The presence of intrahepatic stones or gall stones impact the normal functioning of the liver. The malfunction of the liver invariably precipitates as various allergic reactions, one of which is eczema. Eczema is simply considered an indicator of a poor functioning liver. In fact, traditional Chinese medicine also shares in this belief. In this regard, liver cleansing is a prescribed means of treatment for eczema.
Liver cleansing can help remove gallstones and thus all blockages to the smooth functioning of your organ. In addition, poor liver health can also be prevented. Indications of poor liver health include hepatitis, liver cancer and cirrhosis.
The best period to perform a liver cleanse is the spring season, as the warm weather augurs well with the process. Liver cleansing can be done in either in a clinic or in the comforts of your own home. Even for the lattar option, it is best to have the guidance of a professional. A mismanaged or wrong liver cleanse recipe can result in more problems and serious health threats.
Also, while performing liver cleanse, it is best not to take any form of medications or drugs at the same time. Similar to all other forms of body cleansing, liver cleanse should be performed when you can afford to take time off to rest.
