Antioxidants - Critical But Absent From Most Modern Foods - Doctor Insights For Your Health, Below.
I didn't know anything about antioxidant's (except that they were good for me) UNTIL,…my sonbecame ill with an (unresolvable) health condition.
Then my wife attended American Medical Association certified CE classes for doctors, nurses, etc. (AMA CE) and learned the need for antioxidants, the various strengths of antioxidants, and the marketing tricks being done with antioxidants - most of which the public is [spin]totally unaware of.
Here's some of what my wifelearned as we found complete recovery for our son's health challenge,…via the power of antioxidants in nature (instead of using symptom suppressing toxic drugs that often have significant negative side effects).
1. The marketing label you see in the health food store regarding antioxidant ORAC can be mis-leading.
2. Over 90 products from the shelves were randomly analyzed and here's what they found regarding antioxidant levels:
Three "antioxidant" containing products actually had a pro-oxidizing effect — that means they acted the opposite of how they were advertised.
1800 units of lab tested ORAC value was the average of the other 87 products.
There was no industry test for checking "fat soluble" antioxidant capacity (only the water soluble capacity was being addressed) - so such a test was developed and has become industry standard now.
The highest product tested had an ORAC (water soluble) capacity of just over 5,000 units of protection per gram.
3. From these test results, one Wellness company chose to learn what foods the longest living cultures in the world tend to consume and what foods these cultures attributed their longevity to. They flew around the world seeking these answers and then,…because some of the plants/fruits associated with longevity couldn't be grown properly in the U.S., they established agreements with these countries to flash freeze dry and then ship the ingredients to the U.S.
This particular blend (adding more of one antioxidant is not as powerful as a synergistic blend to the human body) rated well when tested with both ORAC lab tests and blood serum levels:
Over 17,000 Units of Protection per gram and 200% more antioxidant protection than adding 5 fresh fruits and vegetables
That's nearly 10 times the protection of the average product on the market and
About 3x the level of protection of the most potent antioxidant currently available on the health food shelves - and it's not more expensive!
On the first item, Here's how some marketers mislead with their ORAC labels. They state the bottles entire ORAC level of protection, versus comparing units of antioxidant protection per gram or per equal serving. Then, you must divide this amount by the total number of servings per container, to get actual ORAC per serving.
On a recent health food store visit the top product they could show me boasted 2,000 units, with 10 servings per container = 200 ORAC. That's really close to nothing compared to 17,000 units of protection. Buyer Beware.

Follow a Full Body Detox Plan For Improved Health
If you're feeling fatigued no matter how much sleep and you get bloated no matter how much you diet, then you may need a full body detox plan. Even if you eat healthy foods, waste products can build up in your system and leave you feeling tired and drained. In this article, we'll talk about how a body detoxification program can put you on the road to a healthier life.
Detoxification is beneficial because harmful substances in our diet can build up in the body and cause fatigue, headaches, nausea and even disease. There are a countless number of detox diets available. The basic idea is to temporarily give up certain foods that are thought to contain "toxins," such as meat, sugar, white flour, certain grains, dairy products and caffeine. Of course, alcohol and non-medicinal narcotics are not allowed! These diets typically start with a short fasting period and is then followed by a strict diet of raw vegetables, fruit, fruit juices and water. The best diet is one based on fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean sources of protein and unsaturated fats. Some regimens advise using herbal laxatives, as a natural bowel cleanse, to flush out the intestine and liver. The duration of such regimens often ranges from seven to 10 days. Some people report they feel better, more focused and energetic during and after the full body detox plan. This may be due to their belief that they are doing something good for their body. But it may also be due to not eating much — perhaps a juice fast or water fast — for more than several days. Calorie restriction can lead to heightened feelings of psychological well-being.
No everyone believes that there are benefits to a full body detox. In fact, there is little medical evidence to support that these diets work. Most toxins in the body are removed by the kidneys and liver and excreted in urine and stool. The side effects can be dangerous. Early side effects of fasting include headaches but prolonged fasting or severe calorie restriction can result in anemia, low blood sugar and irregular heartbeat. You should consult a doctor before fasting or undergoing any detoxification program.
If you're concerned about your lack of energy, then consult a doctor before you begin a full body detox plan, to make sure that you don't have an illness that requires treatment. There are a variety of ways to cleanse your system of toxins such as a detox body wrap, liver cleansing, sugar detox and a variety of other detoxification products. Be sure that you fuel your body well and get plenty of sleep. It's the best way to give your body the ultimate energy boost.

The Almighty Cleanse For Successful Diets
