Colon Cleansing To Stop Constipation In Its Tracks

Constipation is a common problem that can affect just about anyone even if there are no noticeable signs of any illness. It is usually said to occur when an individual defecates less than three times in seven days. It is quite common for people to believe they are constipated even when they are actually not.

However, this couldn’t be farther from the truth, simply because different people have different ranges for the number of times they need to visit the bathroom.

CONSTIPATION SYMPTOMS:

If interested in getting rid of constipation you should know some of the obvious symptoms which include difficulty or pain in passing stool, characteristically hard, dry and small feces, reduced bowel movement, bloating etc.

Symptoms that are an indication of severe constipation include a coated tongue, foul breath, dizziness, nausea, loss of appetite, mouth ulcers, depression, dark circles under eyes, pimples on the face, acidity, pain in the lumbar region, heart burn and insomnia.

CONSTIPATION CURES:

Usually constipation is caused due to unhealthy eating habits combined with lack of exercise and/or a sedentary lifestyle.
This is why in most cases it’s easy to get rid of constipation by simply changing your diet and including exercise in your daily life. Having said this, it’s always best to consult your physician to ascertain if you are constipated due to any medical cause, because sometimes, constipation maybe brought about as a symptom of a more serious disease or illness. Constipation may also be brought about as a side-effect of some of the medication you may be ingesting and the best person to give you advice in such a situation would be your physician.

Here are some keys to end constipation:

1. Changing to a healthy diet that includes fiber, fresh fruits and vegetables.
2. Including a regular exercise regime in your daily routine.
3. Drinking plenty of fluids in order to keep your body sufficiently hydrated and in order for your digestive system to function naturally.
4. Eating limited quantities of foods that can cause constipation including dry beans, cauliflower, cabbage, fried foods, red meat, milk and dairy products etc also qualifies as a cure for constipation.
5. For those suffering from severe constipation, the use of laxatives maybe the only way out. However, just like any other medication, this should be exercised as only a short term option and it’s always best to consult your physician regarding the side-effects of the said medication before going on to use it. As mentioned, it’s important to not use laxatives on a regular basis to ease bowel movement since overuse of laxatives can make it difficult for your digestive system to get rid of body wastes efficiently and naturally.

Suffice it to say, it’s important to know constipation symptoms and how to avoid them in order to lead a healthy and peaceful life.
